Getting through this together safely.
updated on 9.25.2020
On Sundays, beginning October 4th, we will re-gather in the gym, which is more spacious, for our 8:30 & 11:00 AM services!
After a summer of meeting outside and after several weeks of continued prayer, conversation, and planning, our staff and leaders have created a process that meets the four areas we identified and communicated as critical to re-gathering in our building: safety, compliance, inclusion, and unity.
Church Online: If for any reason you are unable or feel uncomfortable joining us for services in person, you will still be able to watch online! The 11:00 service will be LIVE streamed on Facebook Live as well as YouTube Live.
For those who come out, what can you expect on Sunday mornings?
Steps We’re Asking You to Take:
Complete A Survey: To help us best plan and stay within the gathering limits set by the State of Connecticut, we’re asking everyone to complete a brief, online survey (email and which time you and your family will be worshipping with us). Find a link to the survey HERE. Once per family is great.
Wear Mask: For the well-being of everyone, and in accordance with state guidelines, we are requiring you to wear a mask.
Practice Social Distancing & General Health Guidelines: Please stay home if you are sick; maintain social distance at the service, and wash your hands frequently.
Traffic Flow: We’re asking everyone to enter and exit the building through the doors in the gym.
Children & Students: We will ask you to keep your children with you during service; for now, there will be no nursery. However, feel free to use the changing table in the nursery if needed.
The Steps We’re Taking:
Sanitizing Stations: Hand sanitizer stations will be available at the entrance and exit.
Enhanced Cleaning: Our Facilities team will clean and disinfect all hard-touched surfaces (e.g. doorknobs, bathrooms), and high contact areas after each service.
Seating: We have arranged the chairs to ensure everyone can practice social distancing. We will ask everyone to try and fill a chair grouping appropriate to their family’s size. If you need assistance finding a seat please see our Usher Team.
Creating a “Touch-less” Service: For the time being we will also not be passing an offering plate. We will have one at the entrance so that you can worship the Lord with tithes and offering still. You can access online News & Announcements, contact cards, online giving and more online,
Pre-packaged Communion: On communion Sundays, we will not serve you communion. Instead, pre-packaged communion elements will be available for you to pick up before service to reduce contact.
No Post Service Fellowship: For now, we will not serve coffee or host fellowship time after services so we can best follow social distancing and general health and hygiene guidelines.
Limited Building Access: Please stay in the gym and if necessary, only use the bathrooms closest to the gym.
Regular Review: We would love for you to share with us ideas you have for staying safe.
We look forward to seeing you whether in person or online! Thank you for your prayers, support, and patience as we continue to follow God’s leading, especially during this season. Thank you for being the church! If you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Your families will continue to be in our prayers as we navigate these circumstances together. Our hope is to keep your kids engaged and provide ways for them to grow spiritually.
We will be sharing videos on Sunday mornings so kids can experience Sunday School online! The video services include worship, teachers sharing a devotional from the Gospel Story Bible, and more! We are sending out two books to every family that comes to Sunday School, the Gospel Story Bible and An Old Story New. Our goal is to help each family to be growing in their faith and in God’s word both when we are together as well as at home. Parents, we encourage you in this time to take advantage of the opportunity to study God's word with your students. Here are some apps that students can use to help study God's word and potentially do Bible study discussion with other students/leaders.
